About the project: The Department of Geography and Planning at University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position focusing partnering with beaver to restore stream function and adapt to climate change. The successful candidate will join a transdisciplinary research team supported by funding from NSERC CREATE for Water Security and Mountain Water Futures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a relevant discipline such as ecohydrology, geomorphology, stream restoration, ecology or environmental engineering. A Ph.D. is required. The Postdoctoral Scholar will be able to capitalize on an on-going field experiment, work toward modelling landscape beaver dam capacity and also have freedom to collaboratively design research aligning with the goals of the larger project.
